The Anticoagulation Forum publishes 3-4 newsletters annually. Content from our newsletters is put on our Web site as a way to share information for the mutual growth and development of professionals in the anticoagulation field.
Winter 2008
This edition of the newsletter contains an informative article entitled Emerging Anticoagulants in the Management of Venous Thromboembolism by Dr. Alex Spyropoulos. Other articles include a new edition of Anticoagulation Updates from the Literature, updates from NATT and NCBAP, and the AC Forum’s new address and contact information.
Fall 2007
This Anticoagulation Forum newsletter includes a copy of the letter sent to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in support of expanded coverage for patient self-testing, announces NATT's large grant from the CDC, and includes a chart outlining the many organizations working in the field of thrombosis.
Summer 2007
This issue of the newsletter includes a letter from the AC Forum Board of Directors to Dr. Lawrence Lesko, Director, Office of Clinical Pharmacology at the FDA. The letter outlines the AC Forum's concerns about the FDA's plan to add information about genotype testing to the warfarin package insert. The newsletter also includes Dr. Lesko's response letter.

The Anticoagulation Forum’s 9th National Conference on May 3-5 in Chicago is just a few months away. Be sure to register soon. Dr. Jack Ansell steps down as president and Dr. David Garcia introduces his vision for the AC Forum’s future. Also included is a commentary by Mark Crowther, MD on “Fixed-Dose Unfractionated Heparin for the Treatment of Venous Thromboembolism”.
Fall 2006
Register soon for the 9th National Conference on Anticoagulation Therapy. The newsletter has information on the Anticoagulation Forum's conference is being held in Chicago in May 2007. Also in this newsletter, read an article on venous thromboembolism prophylaxis in the hospitalized medically-ill patient by Dr. Geno Merli, updates on NCBAP and NATT, and information on the link between air travel and DVT.
Spring 2006
This issue features a study investigating the interaction between cranberry juice and warfarin, introduces new members of the AC Forum Board of Directors, and offers free copies of the 8th National Conference proceeding published by the Journal of Thrombosis and Thrombolysis.
Fall 2005
This issue announces that Chicago will be the site for the next Anticoagulation Forum conference - May 3-5, 2007.
